A large number of business owners I speak to have old, outdated, or very expensive websites. They want to do something, and most would prefer handling their website themselves.

But they lack the skills, time, and resources to take on the colossal task.

They need help.

It’s this help I provide, and for me it’s rewarding and fun changing a business website from old and inactive, into what the business owner really had in mind. Or better.

Also, small business owners are hard workers who possessed the courage, at some point, to turn their vision into reality. They’re a neat bunch, and it’s a joy to serve that community.

  • What would you like your website to look like? Any ideas?
  • What are your business goals?
  • What makes your business unique?
  • What unique problems exist in your business that no one else has?
  • What is your highest-profit service or product?

Spending the time customizing a web solution is the critical first step.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator_2 color_line=”#ffffff” padding_top=”60″][ctitle title=”Getting Off the Ground” uppercase=”no” background=”#ffffff”][vc_column_text]Next, the big question is, do you have an existing website that needs updating, or are you starting from scratch? Mainly I work with businesses who want to take over for themselves and update their current website, but who don’t have the time or experience.

And whether you need a complete “do over” with your website, or just want someone to update your site, I gladly help out in whatever capacity you need.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator_2 color_line=”#ffffff” padding_top=”60″][ctitle title=”Optimizing” uppercase=”no” background=”#ffffff”][vc_column_text]From there, the site needs optimizing, both for your website visitors and for the search engines. What stunned me when I noticed was that most web developers don’t do this.

Try this:

Look at 5 local restaurants’ websites, and notice the page names. When I looked, the websites pretty much had the same page names. The common names were:

  • Menu
  • Specials
  • About
  • Contact

Now let me ask: how many other websites across your state have “Menu”, “Specials”,“About”, “Services”, and “Contact”?

A lot.

I have yet to see any variation, in fact.

Nothing is different.

Now, there’s much more involved when optimizing a site than simply having different page names from your competitor. But this alone shows my point.

No one sat down with these restaurant owners to custom tailor a website, to show them in their best light.

That’s the real key to optimizing a website.

After meeting with the business owner and learning what they want and what makes them unique, I then spend, on average, several days of research coming up with unique page names that accurately reflect the strengths of the business.

This really helps the business owner get targeted traffic.

Then once these foundational steps are laid, it’s go time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator_2 color_line=”#ffffff” padding_top=”60″][ctitle title=”Go Time” uppercase=”no” background=”#ffffff”][vc_column_text]The process of designing a business website varies widely at this point, based on the business owner’s wants and needs.

Sometimes a small business has a marketing staff, and they need me to come in and help optimize their online strategy.

But more often than not, the small business has no “Marketing Department”, outside of the owner.

So I come in and handle the web development, soup to nuts. Some projects I work on directly, but with larger or time-sensitive projects I collaborate with a skilled web designer.

To give you an idea of me and my designer’s work, check these sites out:

  1. I helped get this florist’s website from outdated to modern.
  2. This Environmental company’s old website was also very outdated. Now it has a new, fresh look!
  3. My web designer I work with also does phenomenal work.

If you want more examples, please contact me. There are plenty of examples for you to see.

In conclusion, if you have a small or single-owner business and want a website designed for you, whether you currently have a website or not, then contact me. We’ll discuss your situation, I’ll customize something for you, and you decide from there. No obligations, and no strings attached.
